Why Watch
Affair is an emotional friends-to-lovers story centered on Pleng and Wan, two women who grow up together in the same household despite coming from very different backgrounds.
Pleng is the daughter of the wealthy family that owns the house, while Wan grows up alongside her as the daughter of a household worker. Their bond is incredibly close, but when Wan begins talking about eventually getting married, Pleng is forced to confront feelings she has never fully understood.
Just as their relationship begins to change, tragedy destroys Pleng’s family and separates the two women. Years later, they meet again, but their lives have changed dramatically—and Wan is now engaged.
What Makes It Special
Affair combines childhood friendship, separation, longing, jealousy, and reunion into one of the more emotionally intense Thai GL romances.
At the center of the series is the chemistry between Sonya and Lookmhee. Their performances make Pleng and Wan’s relationship feel deeply personal, especially because the characters share years of history before the romance truly begins.
- Childhood friends-to-lovers
- Strong chemistry between Sonya and Lookmhee
- Jealousy and unresolved feelings
- Separation and emotional reunion
- A romance shaped by class differences and family expectations
AsianGL Verdict
This is not a lighthearted romance where everything falls neatly into place. Pleng and Wan have history, emotional baggage, and plenty of obstacles between them, which makes finally watching them confront what they mean to each other even more satisfying.
