The Fire is a warm rivals-to-lovers Thai GL centered on Fai and Kaphrao, childhood rivals who meet again years after growing apart.
When Kaphrao returns, Fai completely misunderstands her relationship with Fai’s father and becomes convinced that she is after the family fortune. Determined to make Kaphrao’s life difficult, Fai falls straight back into their old pattern of teasing and arguing.
But Kaphrao is no longer the girl Fai remembers. She refuses to be intimidated and gives Fai just as much trouble in return. As their constant bickering brings them closer, old resentment slowly transforms into affection — and eventually into a love neither woman expected.

Their relationship begins with constant teasing and tension, but as they grow closer, the story opens into some of its most memorable visual moments — beaches, sunsets, camping scenes, open water, and the beautifully lit boat sequence. Those settings give the quieter scenes between them a dreamy, almost cinematic quality.
There is still jealousy, family conflict, and plenty of emotional friction, but the series never loses its sense of warmth. Namneung and Noey make Fai and Kaphrao feel playful, tender, and completely believable together, while the gorgeous scenery gives The Fire a romantic atmosphere that makes it especially easy to get lost in.
