Sun’s feelings begin as a quiet crush on her friend’s older sister, but once she starts working for Rafah, the relationship becomes tangled in authority, jealousy, possessiveness, and physical intimacy that is not always meaningfully consensual. Those scenes should not be reduced to ordinary romantic jealousy; they introduce a serious issue of coercion and consent into the relationship.

Atom gives Rafah a commanding, almost proprietary energy, while Mersedes makes Sun feel gentle, reserved, and emotionally open. The strongest part of the series is watching those two completely different ways of loving collide. Rafah’s later confession that she has loved Sun for years gives context to her intensity, while the twin misunderstanding pushes her jealousy to its breaking point. It is messy, dramatic, occasionally uncomfortable, and much more psychologically interesting than a simple CEO-and-actress fantasy.
