Why Watch

Prem and Pat first meet completely by accident when a drunk Prem gets into Pat’s car, mistaking it for her friend’s similar-looking vehicle.

At the time, Prem is preparing to get married and has no idea how much Pat is about to change her life. That wedding eventually falls apart after Pat reveals the truth about Prem’s fiancé — he has gotten Pat’s friend pregnant.

That connection makes their relationship complicated from the beginning. Prem has every reason to associate Pat with one of the worst moments of her life, yet the two keep getting drawn back toward each other.

What follows is a romance shaped by betrayal, attraction, resentment, and the growing realization that the woman who helped end Prem’s old life may also become part of the new one she never expected.

What Makes It Special

Poisonous Love stands out because Prem and Pat are brought together at one of the most complicated moments possible. Their relationship does not begin with a simple meet-cute — it begins with a drunken mistake, a broken engagement, and the revelation that completely changes Prem’s future.

• A doctor-and-actress romance
• An accidental first meeting that changes everything
• Pat being directly connected to the truth that ends Prem’s marriage plans
• Strong emotional tension between the two leads
• Two very different professional worlds coming together
• Attraction mixed with resentment and uncertainty

AsianGL Verdict

What I enjoyed most about Poisonous Love is Pat’s persistence. Even when things between her and Prem become complicated, Pat does not simply walk away. She keeps showing that her feelings are real and that Prem is worth fighting for.

That persistence matters because Prem has just had her wedding ruined after discovering the truth about her fiancé. Pat is directly connected to that painful moment, so Prem has every reason to keep her distance. Watching Prem slowly lower her guard while Pat continues to prove how serious she is gives the romance much of its emotional pull.

The doctor-and-actress pairing adds a nice contrast, but it is Pat’s determination that makes the relationship especially memorable. Poisonous Love works best when it focuses on two women trying to move beyond betrayal, hurt, and uncertainty to see whether something real can grow from such a difficult beginning.
